A square 8 kg steel plate, 40 × 40 cm and just 2 cm high, with the pin for the pole already fixed in the centre. All the steadiness of a serious weight, in a base you barely see.
The pole slides onto the pin and the flag can turn, with a little friction. To have it spin freely through 360° in the lightest breeze, add the rotor.
